SKOB's own Angus McQuie has taken out the Under 23 VAFA Best & Fairest award, announced last night.
The high leaping ruckman had an ultra consistent year with the Under 23's and his efforts have been recognised as the outstanding player of the competition.
Despite the incomplete season, SKOB Under 23s enjoyed plenty of success in 2021 and finished the Home & Away season clearly on top with a percentage of over 375%.
From 11 completed matches, Angus found himself in the best players on 7 occasions and his dominant ruck work set up many victories for the Under 23s.
Hopefully the disappointment of a cancelled finals series can be somewhat placated by this achievement and all at SKOB congratulate Angus on a fine season. Teammates Aidan Cellini and Austin Harding, both rounded out the top five placegetters in the B&F poll, giving SKOB a strong showing and reflecting their dominant season.
