It is with great pleasure that St Kevin’s Old Boys’ Football Club announce that former Carlton and North Melbourne star Jarrad Waite will be playing for SKOBFC in 2019.
Jarrad played a total of 244 AFL games over 16 years at the elite level, 184 games for Carlton and 60 for North Melbourne. He kicked a total of 377 goals and won the leading goal kicker award at both AFL
clubs. Jarrad will join his former North Melbourne teammate, Dan Currie at SKOBFC, who is Senior Assistant Coach.
SKOB Football Director, Michael Christian said, “we are absolutely
thrilled that Jarrad, his wife Jackie and family have decided to join
our great Club. Jarrod will obviously add enormous value on the field
with his football prowess but his passion to help develop our younger
players will also be of great benefit to our Club. Our priority is to
continue to develop our young players and this will be enhanced
significantly with Jarrad assistance. We look forward to a long
association with Jarrad and his family.”
“I’m very much looking forward, with my family, to become part of the SKOB community. I still have an urge to play football and importantly a desire to help develop and nurture younger players. I’m very excited about being part of the Club. Jackie and I feel SKOB will provide the best environment for us to transition into the next stage of our lives.”
SKOBFC has won the past two Premier Division premiership in the VAFA.
